Monday 19 April 2010TID inaugurates new practical training facility
The new practical training facility of the Training Institute for Dredging (TID), located inside MTI Holland BV’s laboratory, is complete and ready to use. On the 7th of April the official opening ceremony was performed by the Director of IHC Beaver Dredgers, Mr. Bert Kips.
After the opening, IHC Parts and Services handed over a series of 3D models of dredge parts, which will even further enable TID’s trainees to link theory and practice. The last few years TID has worked hard to grow into a world-class learning facility for all parties involved in Dredging. Its training programmes have developed into professional competence based trainings, enabling TID to operate as a Human Recourse partner for Dredging Contractors. The practical training facility and the 3D models are a valuable addition to the existing means supporting the trainings, such as the range of Cutter Suction Dredger simulators (an IHC 8527MP® Beaver 6518 and an IHC 7025 MP®).
