Job description

• Responsible for the day to day running of the refit/work schedule onboard a vessel in refit.
  
• Responsible to undertake hull and machinery/equipment surveys and raise the appropriate Inspection Reports to submit to the client, following comments from the client assist with the raising and costing of Variation Orders.
  
• Monitor and coordinate ship repairs and make recommendations on the project schedule.
  
• Provide technical expertise, advice and solutions to repair solutions.
  
• Assist the Project Manager with daily planning reviews and to make recommendations to ensure compliance with the schedule.
  
• Discuss resource requirements/allocation with the project manager
  
• Ensure adherence to QA and HSE policies
  
• Ensure that the project documentation is correctly maintained.

• The incumbent should have a sound knowledge of ship systems such as but not limited to AC Plants, Diesel Engines, Ship Control Systems, Refrigeration, HP & LP Air Compressors, Pumps, RO Units, Sewage treatment plants and Hydraulics . Exposure to a Naval environment is preferable
  
• Ship repair/building experience in a shipyard is a must
  
• Must be proficient in the use of project planning software like MS Projects or PRIMAVERA
