Name of Function: Chef (Superyacht)

Certification:  STCW Basic Training certificate & preferably an STCW95 endorsement Rating performing navigational watch

Q-Shipping offers a complete management and a comprehensive service in ship management. We operate ships such as dry cargo vessels, tankers, offshore vessels and super yachts. 
 
Our Head Office is located in Rhoon adjacent to the port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Most of our staff are experienced ex-seafarers who are able to give good advice on flag choice, company structure, cost control, maintenance planning, safety & security & environmental subjects, implementation of (new) legislation and implementation of specific customers requirements.

Job description / Responsibilities

  • Menu planning for charter, fulfilling the wishes of the guests
  • Sanitation and cleaning of kitchens/dining areas and equipment
  • Responsible for hotel/galley stock management
  • Proven knowledge of international kitchens / recipes

Requirements

  • Able to prepare and serve to the highest standard a variety of different cuisines
  • To serve quality food to the crew at all times
  • Management of provisions and catering
  • Excellent interaction skills and superb guest service skills
  • Ability to keep a clean galley and service area at all times
  • Excellent references
  • Hard work and discretion essential
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum 3 yrs experience on a similar commercial yacht
  • Valid STCW95 basic training certificate
  • Valid documents & medical certificate (seaman book)
  • Driving licence
