Job description

Our Lead Structural Engineer provides ‘up-to-date’ engineering and process advice and supports to contribute to successful Engineering. He or she gives support to the Department Manager with requisted and unasked information and is responsible for the managing, coaching en developping of (Junior) Engineers. Structural Engineering contributes with their specialized knowledge in the preparation of projects, as well in in various R&D projects. One main focus in the R&D program is the technology improvement for current activities. This includes changes in the structural engineering elements in the transport engineering process. Another main focus is the technology development for new activities such as float-over installations. This includes design of load transfer systems and related analysis tools. 

Requirements:

• Master of Science in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Aerodynamics
• At least 5 years (managing) experience in heavy transport, shipbuilding or offshore
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
• Willing to travel around the world
