In order to fulfill the increasing demand worldwide for naval vessels, we are expanding our proposal department with a Proposal Engineer Platform.
Key responsibilities
The Proposal Engineer Platform is responsible for the preparation of the vessel part of commercial proposals for potential clients, in accordance with the requirements set by the client.
In addition to the vessel (platform) concept design, the following aspects of the platform design need to be taken into account; safety, stability, speed, marine -, electrical -, navigation and communication systems.
Furthermore the tasks for the Proposal Engineer comprise;
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Technical and commercial contact with suppliers
- Coordinating the work of technical specialists in preparing the proposal
- Liaison with the Proposal Engineer for the Combat System
- Present and discuss proposals with customers
- Planning of the work
- Contribute to the standardization of the range of vessels and equipment that can be offered
PROFILE
- Minimum a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years relevant working experience
- Creative and flexible personality combined with a designer's mentality
- A team player with excellent communication skills both verbally as well as in writing
- Knowledge of most common modern languages, but at least English
- Solid analytical mind
- Process-oriented and well-structured both in acting and thinking
- Result driven, with a strong sense of service towards clients and the internal organization.
