The official document flow is a vital link within projects, and legislation for both the offshore and dredging industries is becoming increasingly strict. Royal IHC is carrying out a wider variety of projects, which calls even more for a professional approach to the processes in the department along with enhanced cooperation between Document Control and other disciplines. In short, Document Control is in a state of flux. We are looking for people who can make a contribution by carrying out operational work in Document Control. By doing so, you will be an ambassador for Document Control within Royal IHC.
You will tie this ambassadorship in with your role as a document controller. You will be part of the project team and responsible for the creation and maintenance of relevant documentation within one or multiple projects. This means that during the start-up stage of a project, you will draw up a plan regarding how the documentation flows will be managed. To do this, you will establish a filing structure and then collect, develop and assess information that will subsequently be released to internal and external stakeholders. You will do this aided by the latest product developments and take into account any changes to guidelines and legislation. In addition, you will play an independent role as regards internal and external stakeholders.
To be eligible for the position of Document Controller, you must have the following:
- bachelor or master degree
- professional experience as Document Controller in a relevant branch
- excellent planning and organisational skills
- ability to maintain an overview and work in a systematic and disciplined way
- proactive and flexible attitude and be unfazed by setbacks
- ability to develop cooperative relationships and feasible solutions within existing systems
- able to contribute workable ideas and to cooperate effectively at all levels
- affinity for administrative processes, technology, and be prepared to learn more
- excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both spoken and written
- only candidates with valid EU work visa will be considered as viable candidates
- an online assessment and screening can be part of the recruitment process.
